Chairman Update - May 2026

Middlesbrough Over 40’s F.C.

Chairman’s Monthly Update – May 2026

As we move into May, I wanted to provide a short update on how things are progressing across the club.

Firstly, thank you to everyone who continues to contribute to Middlesbrough Over 40’s F.C. The commitment from players, committee members, sponsors and supporters remains a real strength of the club, and it is something we should not take for granted.

Bingo Bongo Charity Night

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our recent Bingo Bongo Charity Night. The event at the Dormans club new was a great success, with a fantastic turnout and a brilliant atmosphere throughout the evening.

Events like this are a reminder of what the club is all about — bringing people together, enjoying each other’s company and supporting a cause that means something to us. The support shown for our chosen charity Unique - Rare Chromosome Disorder Support Group  was excellent, and everyone involved should be proud of what was achieved.

Football

We have an important fixture coming up WEDNESDAY 6TH MAY as we take on current Premier League table toppers Ferryhill Over 40s in the Kip Watson FA cup semi-final, being played at Thornaby FC’s ground, with a 7:30pm kick-off.

These are the types of games everyone wants to be involved in, and I’d like to wish the players and coaching team the very best of luck. Hopefully we can see a strong turnout from the club to support the team on the night.

Charity Day – Saturday 20th June

Looking ahead, planning is already underway for our Charity Day on 20th June, which will be another important event for the club.

As with the Bingo Bongo night, this is about more than just football. It’s an opportunity for the club to come together, engage with the wider community and continue supporting a very worthwhile cause. More details will follow over the coming weeks, but please keep the date free where possible.

Looking ahead

As we move towards the end of the season, the focus remains on finishing strongly, continuing to run the club in a well organised way and building on the positive momentum we’ve created both on and off the pitch.

Thank you again to everyone connected with Middlesbrough Over 40’s F.C.
