Chairman’s Monthly Update – March 2026

As we move into March, I wanted to take the opportunity to provide a short update on how things are progressing across the club.

Firstly, thank you to everyone who continues to contribute to Middlesbrough Over 40’s F.C. — whether that’s on the pitch, behind the scenes, through sponsorship or simply supporting the club week in week out. The strength of this club has always been its people, and that remains as true as ever.

Committee meeting

We recently held our latest committee meeting, which provided a good opportunity to review how the club is operating and where our priorities should be over the coming months. The discussion covered governance, finances, football matters, media and communications, sponsorship and social activity.

The overall position of the club remains strong. We have a committed committee in place, good engagement from players and continued support from our sponsors. The focus from the committee is to keep things well organised, transparent and sustainable while maintaining the positive culture that makes the club enjoyable for everyone involved.

Bingo Bongo Charity Night – 18th April

Our next big club event is the Bingo Bongo Charity Night, which will take place on Saturday 18th April.

Tickets are £10, and we would love to see as many players, members, friends and supporters there as possible. Events like this are a fantastic opportunity for everyone connected with the club to come together, have a great night socially and continue building the strong sense of community that sits at the heart of Middlesbrough Over 40’s F.C.

Just as importantly, the event is being held in support of our chosen charity.

This year the club is proud to be supporting the Rare Chromosome Disorder Support Group (Unique).

This charity provides vital support, information and advocacy for families and individuals affected by rare chromosome and gene disorders. Their work helps people navigate extremely complex medical and emotional challenges, while connecting families who might otherwise feel isolated.

Supporting causes like this is something we believe strongly in as a club. Football brings people together, and where we can use that platform to help others we should always try to do so.

Every ticket purchased and every pound raised through the Bingo Bongo event will help contribute to that support.

How you can help

If you are able to attend, please consider buying a ticket and bringing along friends or family to make the night a success.

Events like this only work when the club community gets behind them, and it would be fantastic to see a strong turnout on the night.

Further details about tickets will continue to be shared through our usual club channels.

Thank you again to everyone who continues to support Middlesbrough Over 40’s F.C.
