🔴 Chairman’s Monthly Update – February 2026 🔴

Firstly, I’d like to say how honoured I am to be writing this as Interim Chairman of Middlesbrough Over 40’s F.C.

As many of you know, Andy has stepped into the role of Honorary Lifetime President following years of commitment, leadership and hard work in establishing the club. On behalf of everyone connected with the club, I want to place on record my sincere thanks to him.

The foundations he helped build give us a strong platform to move forward — and it’s important we recognise that.

My role will run through to the end of the 2025/26 season. The aim during this period is simple:

 Provide stability

 Keep the club well organised

 Support the committee

 Move forward in a positive and inclusive way

 On the Pitch

Results have been tough recently, and we know we’re going through a difficult spell. A number of fixtures have also been cancelled due to the weather.

However, we remain fully behind our coaching team and confident things will turn around.

 Off the Pitch

The club continues to thrive:

• Strong engagement from members

• Excellent support from sponsors

• A real sense of togetherness

Despite challenges, the commitment from players, committee members and supporters remains strong. We’ll use this period to build on the positives and come back ready to push on once football resumes.

• Ensuring fixtures and logistics run smoothly

• Planning sensibly and sustainably for the future

 Mental Health & Wellbeing

At Over 40’s level, football is about more than results.

For many of us, it provides routine, friendship and support. Protecting that environment is a priority.

 Looking Ahead

There is a strong group of people here and a clear identity. Our job is to protect that while continuing to improve where we can.

Thank you to everyone who gives their time to the club — whether playing, organising, supporting or sponsoring. It all matters.
